Location: Full Time

RCMS is looking for a Housing Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in the successful day-to-day operation of our housing community.

This is more than an administrative role. You'll be at the heart of the community — supporting residents, coordinating staff and contractors, overseeing finances, managing maintenance, and helping ensure the property is safe, well-maintained, financially sound, and operating smoothly.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Keep the Community Running Smoothly

- Oversee day-to-day office administration and resident/tenant services.
- Respond to inquiries and concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Coordinate move-ins, move-outs, applications, vacancies, and waiting lists.
- Prepare reports, notices, meeting materials, legal correspondence, and documentation.
- Support community events, committees, clubs, and resident initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records, files, keys, contractor information, and site documentation.

Manage the Numbers

- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Process deposits and expenses through YARDI.
- Assist with annual budgets, audits, and operational reviews.
- Ensure financial processes are accurate and aligned with company policies.

Lead RGI & Housing Administration

- Process and review Rent-Geared-to-Income (RGI) applications and annual reviews.
- Calculate housing charges/rents and issue appropriate notices.
- Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, Service Manager requirements, and housing provider policies.
- Identify and address over- and under-housed situations.

Oversee Maintenance & Property Operations

- Coordinate work orders and preventative maintenance programs.
- Conduct regular property inspections and follow up on deficiencies.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors and trades.
- Ensure completed work meets expectations before invoices are approved.
- Manage on-site cleaners and maintenance staff.
- Plan and schedule maintenance projects.

- Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation for emergencies.

Be a Community Leader

- Build professional relationships with residents, Board members, committees, staff, and contractors.
- Support a positive and respectful community environment.
- Help ensure the property operates in accordance with applicable housing legislation, policies, and by-laws.
- Bring problems forward, find solutions, and keep things moving.

What You'll Bring

- 3+ years of relevant industry or management experience.
- College diploma or university degree.
- IHM certification is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organization, decision-making, and quality management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong leadership and relationship-building abilities.
- Professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
- A valid Class G driver's licence and access to a vehicle.

The Ideal Candidate

You're someone who can juggle multiple priorities without losing sight of the details. You enjoy working with people, solving problems, and taking ownership. You're comfortable moving between administration, finance, resident service, maintenance, and property operations — and you're not afraid to roll up your sleeves when something needs to get done.

Why Join Us?

Every day is different. You'll have the opportunity to lead, problem-solve, build relationships, and directly impact the community you manage.

If you're ready to take ownership of a dynamic housing workplace and make a meaningful difference for residents, we'd love to hear from you!
