DELIVERY / WAREHOUSE PERSON

Join our team at Coastal Roots Furniture & Mattresses and be part of a locally owned furniture company serving the Comox Valley.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Delivery / Warehouse Person. This position offers a variety of duties, including deliveries, warehouse work, showroom setup, furniture assembly, and customer service. Some heavy lifting is required as part of the job.

Responsibilities

- Deliver furniture and merchandise to customers in a timely and professional manner
- Load and unload furniture, mattresses, and other merchandise
- Carefully move furniture in and out of customers’ homes
- Receive and organize merchandise in the warehouse
- Help move, arrange, and reposition furniture on the showroom floor
- Assist with setting up new showroom displays
- Assemble furniture when required
- Keep the warehouse, delivery area, and showroom organized
- Provide friendly and professional customer service
- Follow company safety procedures




- Assist with other general store and warehouse duties as needed

Qualifications

- Valid driver’s licence
- Comfortable driving a delivery vehicle
- Must be physically capable of lifting and moving heavy furniture when required
- Some items may weigh approximately 100–150 lbs and are moved with assistance
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull furniture safely
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Positive attitude and good work ethic
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Furniture delivery, moving, warehouse, or assembly experience is an asset
