Senior QA Automation Engineer:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Senior QA Automation Engineer for a 12month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Senior QA Automation Engineer - Job Description:
The project involves building and evolving quality-control frameworks for complex data movement, large-volume data validation, and cloud-based analytics platforms. This role is focused on vendor integration and delivering trusted data solutions to support the bank’s financial strength and operational resilience.

Senior QA Automation Engineer - Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for data pipelines, APIs, and cloud data platforms.
- Test data movement across systems by creating automated controls for various data validation checks.
- Develop and execute test strategies for Azure-based data solutions and related data engineering pipelines.
- Build automated validation for REST APIs, service integrations, and downstream outputs.
- Work with various teams to understand requirements, define test coverage, and support end-to-end delivery.
- Apply AI tools to support test generation, code acceleration, and defect analysis.





Senior QA Automation Engineer - Mandatory Skills:

- 6–10+ years of technology experience, including QA automation and test framework development.
- Strong programming experience with Python, Perl, or similar scripting languages.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium, PyTest, and API testing.
- Strong SQL and data validation experience.
- Practical experience with Azure-based data platforms and services.
- Ability to use AI-enabled engineering tools effectively.
- Solid communication and collaboration skills.

Senior QA Automation Engineer – Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Experience with Databricks notebooks and PySpark-based validation.
- Experience with data quality or orchestration tools like Great Expectations or Airflow.
- Financial services or treasury experience.
- Experience creating test documentation and audit-ready validation artifacts.
- Computer Science or related technical degree.

Senior QA Automation Engineer – Assignment Length:
This is a 12 month contract with the potential for extension or conversion.
