This role will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all Guest rooms, common areas, back of the house areas and outside grounds. The equipment repairs/changes include but are not limited to, toilets, showers, tubs, sinks, beds, doors, lighting, wallpaper repair and minor electrical repairs. The General Maintenance Team Member must have strong mechanical abilities and be skilled in the use of basic hand and electric tools. Proficient in overseeing hotel building infrastructures to ensure safety and functionality. Dedicated to keeping the hotel premise in an organized condition. Able to respond to guests’ requests quickly.

Experience

· Minimum of one year professional experience with property maintenance

Skills

· Must have the visual ability to identify and match colors for painting color coded steam pipes and identifying color coded electrical wires.

· Organizational skills

· Ability to multi-task

· Mechanical ability with attention to detail

This role requires robust management skills, technical expertise and a comprehensive understanding of industrial maintenance to support continuous production and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Property Maintenance

- Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and repair of the hotel building and grounds.
- Ensure all guest rooms and public areas are maintained in excellent condition.
- Perform and supervise repairs related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance.




- Conduct regular property inspections and identify areas requiring repair or improvement.

Preventive Maintenance

- Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule for all hotel equipment and systems.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Ensure equipment operates efficiently to minimize downtime and costs.
- Maintain maintenance supplies and equipment inventory.
- Assist other departments with operational maintenance needs.

Health & Safety

- Ensure compliance with all workplace health and safety regulations.
- Maintain fire safety systems and emergency equipment.
- Coordinate inspections and address any deficiencies promptly.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of maintenance tools and chemicals.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.

Must be available to work a variety of shifts (evenings, weekends, holidays)
