PRE Labs Inc. is a Canadian manufacturer of advanced protective equipment serving law-enforcement, defence, government, and other professional users. PRE Labs is expanding its Canadian manufacturing operations with a new facility in Ottawa, Ontario. Position Summary

The Production Team Lead provides hands-on leadership and technical support to production employees. The Team Lead works directly on the production floor and assists the Production Supervisor with workflow, employee training, troubleshooting, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

· Coordinate daily production activities within assigned work areas.

· Assist employees with production methods and technical issues.

· Train and mentor new employees.

· Ensure work instructions and quality requirements are followed.

· Monitor work-in-process and production flow.

· Identify defects or production concerns and escalate them appropriately.

· Assist with equipment setup and minor troubleshooting.

· Maintain clean and organized work areas.

· Perform production work as required.

· Support continuous-improvement initiatives.

· Act as Production Supervisor when delegated.

Qualifications





· 2+ years of manufacturing experience.

· Previous leadership or mentoring experience is preferred.

· Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

· Ability to train and support other employees.

· Strong communication and teamwork skills.

· Industrial sewing or technical sewn-product experience is an asset.
