Beaches Therapy Group
Canada
Half our clients are already telling us they need you.
A client works through something hard in therapy. They make real progress. And they still cannot unclench their jaw, still sleep badly, still carry the whole week in their shoulders and lower back. Our therapists know exactly what that is. What they cannot do is put hands on it.
So we would like to find an RMT to be part of our internal network.
One thing to say plainly before you read on. This is not a salaried or hourly position, and it is not an associate role or a chair rental. It is an independent practice affiliation. You keep your own practice, your own CMTO registration, your own clinical judgement, your own rates and your own clients. We provide the space, the platform, the administration, the billing and the marketing around all of it, and affiliates pay a flat monthly membership fee plus a uniform share of billings processed through BTG. If you are looking for a wage or a percentage split, this is not that and it's better to know sooner than later.
If you already have a client base or are building one and you are tired of being your own receptionist, bookkeeper and marketing department, read on.
Who we are
Beaches Therapy Group is a heart-led, multidisciplinary mental health practice offering inclusive, evidence-based care in Toronto and virtually across Ontario. Over 50 clinicians work across our locations in The Beaches, Leslieville and Midtown, supporting individuals, couples, children, teens and families through anxiety, trauma, identity, relationships and burnout.
Our care is trauma-informed, 2SLGBTQIA+ affirming, neurodivergent-affirming and culturally responsive. We believe healing happens through connection, growth is lifelong, and everyone deserves to feel safe, seen and supported.
What we are offering
Most RMTs hit the same wall. The hands are excellent. The regulars keep coming. And growth stalls, because growing means a website that ranks, a booking system that works, someone answering the phone, and a steady flow of new people finding you. Clinics hire staff for that.
Solo practitioners do it between clients and after hours.
We already have that machinery. We would like to point it at your practice.
You would practice here as our affiliate massage therapist, with your own practice named alongside, like this:
Beaches Therapy Group Affiliate Massage Therapist Daniel Okonkwo, RMT, Riverside Massage Therapy
Clients get the reassurance of an established practice. Your own name keeps building the whole time. And if you ever move on, you go with your practice name and your clients intact. That is in the agreement, not just on this page.
What comes with it
- A proper introduction to our clients. When you join we announce you to our client newsletter, feature you across our channels, build your profile page with you, and make sure every therapist here knows who you are and what you do.
- Ongoing promotion. Recurring features, help filling any workshops or programs you want to run, and support turning what you know into something publishable.
- A room that is ready. Bring your own equipment (massage table & linens). We have reception during business hours.
- The back office, handled. Jane for booking, charting and records. Payment processing and insurer direct billing.
- Administration. Onboarding, intake, scheduling, rescheduling and reminders, so the phone is not yours to answer between clients.
- Privacy compliance carried for you. BTG acts as Health Information Custodian under PHIPA for records created here, including training, consent, access requests and breach response. Records from your practice before affiliation stay yours.
- Colleagues. An optional monthly gathering where practitioners talk through cases and get to know each other. Voluntary, and not clinical supervision.
Why this might suit you in particular
The overlap between massage therapy and what we see every day is not subtle. Stress that has taken up residence in someone's neck. Chronic pain that no one has taken seriously. Bodies that have been braced for years. Clients doing trauma work who are learning, slowly, that touch can be safe.
Working alongside therapists means referrals that come with context, not just a name and a phone number. It also means colleagues who understand why a client might need to keep their eyes open, or stop halfway, or take three sessions before they can lie face down.
If your practice is trauma-informed, that matters here more than anywhere.
Massage therapy is among the most widely covered services on extended health plans, and we handle receipts and direct billing so that part stays simple.
What we are looking for
- Current registration with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, in good standing.
- Your own professional liability insurance meeting our minimum coverage, which we confirm at onboarding.
- An established client base, or a explicit plan you are ready to build on. This is somewhere to grow a practice, not somewhere to start one from nothing.
- A trauma-informed approach, and genuine comfort working alongside mental health clinicians.
- Please bring your own massage table and supplies.
