Franklin General Contracting is hiring labourers for residential and light-commercial job sites in Glengarry County and Cornwall, ON. No construction experience? Start as a General Labourer and we'll train you. Have hand/power tool experience? You may qualify for our Skilled Labourer rate — we'll place you at the right level based on your background at interview.

Responsibilities

General Labourer:

- Support daily jobsite tasks under the direction of the Lead Hand
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Handle and transport materials, tools, and equipment properly
- Assist tradespeople with general labour and site prep

Skilled Labourer (if qualified):

- Measure, cut, and prep materials to spec
- Support tradespeople directly on framing and finish tasks
- Operate power tools safely and independently

Both:

- Follow all site safety protocols and PPE requirements

What You Bring

- No experience required for General Labourer placement — reliability, punctuality, and willingness to learn matter most




- For Skilled Labourer placement: prior experience with hand/power tools on a construction site, comfortable taking measurements and reading basic plans
- Physically able to perform manual labour outdoors in all seasons
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team

What We Offer

- $18.00–$28.00/hour based on experience and placement
- Custom Benefits Package available after 90-day probation
