Position: Industrial Coating Foreman -

Location: Alberta/British Columbia/Saskatchewan/Manitoba

Type: Full Time, Hourly

Barrier Group is an oilfield service company based in Stony Plain, Alberta that provides field abrasive blasting and protective coating applications for both current and existing pipeline, facility, and tank work throughout western Canada. Barrier Group is looking for an experienced full-time (seasonal) Industrial Coating Foreman. We are looking for an outgoing, adaptable individual looking to learn and grow within our team and industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain a safe, quality focused and productive environment
- Responsible to review and implement project specifications and client requirements
- Accountable for all project related documentation, LEMs, and reporting
- Responsible for the operation and maintenance of painting and blasting equipment
- Management and coordination of workers engaged in abrasive blasting and application of industrial coatings
- Ensure competency of workers on site
- Assist in the development of safe work practices and procedures
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities for process and production efficiency

Required Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in a supervisory role
- Familiar with Industrial Paint Codes and Standards
- Familiar with spraying and sandblasting equipment




- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with 3-year clean Driver’s Abstract
- Valid Class 3 Driver’s License with Air Brake endorsement is considered an asset
- NACE Certificate
- CSTS or PCST Certification
- Standard First Aid Certification
- H2S Alive Certification
- OSSA Confined Space is considered an asset
- OSSA Fall Protection is considered an asset
- OSSA EWP is considered an asset
- Must be able to pass pre-employment and pre-access drug and alcohol testing

- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions:

- Overtime as required

Pay: $40.00-$46.00 per hour
