Duties
- Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, cakes, bread, and desserts according to established recipes and standards
- Decorate cakes and pastries with precision, including cake decorating techniques to enhance visual appeal
- Ensure all baked goods are prepared with proper food handling and safety procedures in compliance with health regulations
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients, mixing batters, and portioning doughs
- Package baked items attractively for retail display or takeout orders, maintaining quality during handling
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area,
including equipment sanitation and proper storage of ingredients
- Support the team during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple baking stations and fulfilling customer orders with a friendly attitude
Experience
- Previous restaurant or bakery experience is highly preferred, especially in a fast-paced food industry setting
- Skilled in cake decorating techniques with an eye for detail and presentation
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices
- Experience with food preparation, cooking, baking, and packaging processes
- Excellent customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with guests and team members
- Kitchen experience that demonstrates ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
