Overview
We are seeking an experienced Class 1 truck driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid mechanical knowledge and experience in pulling super b trailers, equipment hauling and load securement. Winch truck experience would be an asset. The Truck driver will work closely with crane operators and riggers to coordinate lifts and maintain a safe working environment. Driver would be expected to assist in crane set up and dismantle; so some physical labour is required for the position.
Duties
- Conduct pre-operation inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
- Communicate effectively with ground crew and operators to set up and dismantle cranes.
- Maintain accurate records of operations, including load weights and equipment usage.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while performing duties.
- Assist in the rigging process to secure loads for safe transport.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to client needs and inquiries professionally.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and participate in ongoing training as necessary.
Experience
- Valid class 1 Driver's Licence required
- Clean driver's abstract
- Proven experience operating semis in various configurations
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to truck operation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with rigging techniques and safety protocols in lifting operations.
- Additional equipment tickets would be an asset
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
