Job Title: Trade Spend Analyst
Location: Peel Region, ON
Job Type: Temporary
Salary: $22.00-$24.00 /hour
Work Model: In Office

Our client in Peel Region, ON is actively looking for a Trade Spend Analyst to join their team.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Sales and Business Performance teams to ensure new customer rebate programs are accurately established and maintained within the ERP system.
Review, validate, and assess the accuracy of rebate accruals, customer deductions, and payments, preparing supporting documentation for management approval and sign-off.
Investigate and resolve customer deduction discrepancies by liaising directly with customers and recovering over-deducted amounts where applicable.
Analyze and reconcile General Ledger accounts related to trade spend, rebates, and promotional programs, ensuring liabilities are accurately reflected on the balance sheet.
Identify, escalate, and communicate financial concerns, discrepancies, or process issues to appropriate departments and stakeholders.
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations,



and supporting schedules in accordance with accounting policies and procedures.
Generate ad hoc reports and financial analyses for Finance and Sales teams to provide insights into rebate program performance and trade spend activity.
Support month-end and year-end close processes related to rebate and trade spend accounting.
Maintain accurate records and documentation while handling confidential financial information with a high degree of professionalism and discretion.

Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of progressive accounting experience, including direct experience managing trade spend, customer rebate programs, deductions, and accruals.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Robust understanding of accounting principles, account reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger analysis.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
Excellent organizational, time-management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
