About the Role

We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our busy and well-established oral surgery practice.

The RN will play an important role in providing safe, effective, and patient-focused nursing care throughout the surgical experience. This position is ideal for an RN who enjoys a hands-on clinical environment, working as part of a close-knit surgical team,



and providing exceptional care to patients before, during, and after their procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide safe, compassionate, and patient-focused nursing care in an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery setting.
- Complete pre-operative patient assessments and prepare patients before consults and/or surgical procedures.
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and during post-operative recovery.
- Assist with the management and monitoring of patients receiving sedation and anesthesia, as required.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in a patient's condition.
- Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation.
- Provide patients and families with clear pre- and post-operative instructions and education.
- Collaborate closely with the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and surgical team to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
- Maintain a high standard of infection prevention, patient safety, and clinical practice.
- Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and participate in emergency preparedness procedures.
- Support a positive, professional, and respectful patient experience.

Qualifications

- Current Registered Nurse (RN) registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Current BCLS certification – required.
- ACLS and PALS certification – considered an asset.




- Previous experience in surgery, critical care, emergency, anesthesia, or dental/oral surgery is an asset, but not required.
- Strong assessment, communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and excellent patient care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
