Newark Brewing Company is looking for a hardworking, reliable, and motivated Brewery Production Assistant to join our team.

This is a hands-on position supporting the day-to-day operations of our brewery. The successful candidate will help keep our production areas clean and organized, assist with beer packaging, clean and sanitize kegs, and support the brewing team with general production tasks.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in doing a job properly, and wants to gain experience in the craft brewing industry.

Key Responsibilities

Brewery Cleaning & Sanitation

- Clean and sanitize kegs and brewing equipment
- Clean brewery floors, drains, walls, and production areas
- Maintain a clean, organized, and protected work workplace
- Follow established cleaning and sanitation procedures
- Assist with cleaning tanks and other brewery equipment as required
- Properly handle and store cleaning chemicals

Packaging & Labelling

- Assist with canning and packaging beer
- Label cans, cases, and other packaged products
- Pack finished beer into cases, trays, and other packaging
- Assist with kegging and moving finished beer
- Perform quality checks during packaging
- Keep packaging equipment and areas clean and organized

General Production Support

- Move kegs, cases, raw materials, and finished product throughout the brewery
- Assist brewers and production staff with day-to-day tasks
- Prepare packaging materials and supplies
- Help receive and organize brewery supplies
- Assist with inventory and product organization
- Perform other general brewery duties as required

Qualifications

- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Comfortable performing physical work throughout the shift
- Able to lift and move kegs, cases, and other brewery materials
- Comfortable working in a wet environment
- Strong attention to detail,



particularly when cleaning and sanitizing
- Able to follow instructions and established procedures
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Previous brewery, manufacturing, warehouse, food production, or hospitality experience is an asset, but not required
- Previous brewing experience is not required; we are willing to train the right person

Physical Requirements

This is an active, physical position. The successful candidate should be comfortable with:

- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Lifting and moving kegs and cases of beer
- Bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling
- Working around water, cleaning chemicals, and brewery equipment
- Working in varying temperatures, including refrigerated areas
- Performing repetitive cleaning and packaging tasks

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
