Overview
Join our vibrant early childhood education team as an Early Childhood Educator Assistant! Responsibilities
- Assist lead educators in implementing daily activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children
- Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, organized, and stimulating environment
- Engage with children through play, storytelling, arts and crafts, and educational exercises to foster their curiosity and learning
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a collaborative approach to care and education
- Help monitor children’s progress and behavior, providing feedback to educators for individualized support plans
- Support the setup and cleanup of classroom materials and learning stations to ensure readiness for daily activities
- Follow all health and safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure environment for all children and staff
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in childcare settings or early childhood education programs is highly preferred
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education environments is a strong plus
- Bilingual abilities in English and French are advantageous for supporting diverse communities
- Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood education principles and teaching techniques
- Solid communication skills—both verbal and written—to effectively interact with children, families, and team members
- Proficiency in computer skills including basic operation of educational software or classroom management tools
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently across multiple responsibilities
- Leadership qualities that foster teamwork and positive behavior management strategies
