Job Summary:

We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Appliance Shop Assistant to assist with the repair, maintenance, cleaning, and preparation of appliances for resale. The ideal candidate will have a practical mindset, basic technical skills, and a robust commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect, clean, and prepare appliances (fridges, washing machines, ovens, etc.) for resale

Perform basic repairs and part replacements under supervision

Assist senior technicians in diagnosing appliance issues

Test appliances to ensure they are working correctly before display or delivery

Maintain a clean and organized workshop and sales floor

Keep accurate records of repairs, parts used, and appliances serviced

Ensure all appliances meet quality and safety standards before they are sold

Safely move and handle large appliances

Support general shop duties when needed,



including customer inquiries and stock organization

Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures

Requirements:

Hands-on experience with basic mechanical or electrical repairs (preferred)

Good understanding of how common household appliances operate (training provided)

Ability to use hand tools and cleaning equipment

Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work

Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy items (up to [Insert Weight, e.g., 50 lbs])

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team

Willingness to learn and take instruction from senior technicians

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 25 per week
