Automotive Service Technician Apprentice – Level 2, 3 or 4

Freeway Motors is looking for a motivated Level 2, Level 3 or Level 4 Automotive Service Technician Apprentice to join our growing repair shop in Guelph.

We are looking for someone with real hands-on automotive repair experience who can complete many common repairs independently while continuing to develop their diagnostic and technical skills.

Responsibilities:

- Perform oil changes, inspections and scheduled maintenance
- Diagnose and repair brake, steering and suspension systems
- Perform tire installation, balancing and rotations
- Diagnose check-engine lights and other vehicle concerns
- Complete electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
- Replace wheel bearings, exhaust components and other mechanical parts
- Assist with engine, transmission and more advanced repairs
- Maintain accurate repair notes and communicate required repairs
- Keep tools and the work area clean and organized
- Follow all shop procedures and safety requirements

Requirements:

- Registered 310S Automotive Service Technician Apprentice
- Currently at Level 2, Level 3 or Level 4
- Previous hands-on experience in an automotive repair shop
- Ability to complete common repairs safely and efficiently
- Own basic automotive tools
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence
- Dependable,



punctual and willing to learn
- Able to work independently and as part of a team

Assets:

- Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience using automotive diagnostic scanners
- Experience with engine or transmission repairs
- Completed apprenticeship schooling
- Clean driver’s abstract

Expected schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Approximately 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Occasional Saturday availability may be required
