About the Opportunity
Gabriella & Co. is partnering with a well-established Northern Ontario group of companies to fill two positions on their Greater Sudbury finance team — an Accounting Manager and a Corporate Accountant.

Our client operates across construction and several related industries. With a diverse, multi-entity structure and a focus on continuous improvement and long-term stability, they offer a collaborative environment where finance professionals work closely with senior decision-makers and gain broad exposure across the business.

Both roles contribute to full-cycle accounting and financial reporting across the client's group of companies; they differ in seniority, scope, and designation requirements, as outlined below. We welcome applications for whichever role best matches your experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

Across both roles, the successful candidate will:

- Perform full-cycle accounting across the client's multiple entities — journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
- Support month-end and year-end close and the preparation of consolidated financial statements
- Contribute to intercompany transactions and consolidations across a multi-entity structure
- Support project costing and job profitability analysis for construction operations
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and variance analysis
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and financial reporting accuracy

At the Accounting Manager level, the successful candidate will additionally:

- Lead the group's accounting function and own the close and consolidated reporting process
- Partner with senior leadership to deliver financial insights and recommendations
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team,



including AP/AR and junior accountants
- Prepare financial reporting for senior leadership and external partners, including bonding and financing partners

Qualifications

Required of both roles

- Holds a Canadian CPA designation in good standing
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Solid knowledge of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting in a multi-entity environment
- Based in, or willing to work on-site in, the Greater Sudbury area

Accounting Manager (senior role)

- Active Canadian CPA with a minimum of 3 years of post-designation experience in a senior, hands-on role (5+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred)
- Direct construction industry experience, including project costing and job profitability analysis
- Proven experience supervising and mentoring accounting staff

Corporate Accountant (developmental role)

- Holds a Canadian CPA designation (newly designated candidates are welcome)
- 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle corporate accounting
- Experience in construction or multi-entity accounting environments is an asset

Preferred for both

- Experience with construction-focused accounting software (e.g., Jonas)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical, problem-solving capability
