About the Team
The Operations team reports up to the Operations Manager. This diligent team is responsible for all the production, manufacturing and quality control operations at ECI. The various parts of this team work efficiently together to ensure that the products that we design and manufacture meet the highest quality standards and provide the innovative solutions our customers expect. The technicians, operators and supervisors who are part of this team collaborate daily and have many opportunities to develop their skills and capabilities.





Position Details

Soldering Operator

The Soldering Operator is responsible for soldering, manual assembly, touch-up work, and component repair on printed circuit boards (PCBs). The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, accurate, and experienced in electronics assembly.

Key Responsibilities

- Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Set up and inspect soldering equipment before use.
- Review work instructions, verify part numbers, and perform soldering operations.
- Complete touch-up soldering on assembled PCBs.
- Perform PCB rework using BOMs, engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Complete micro-circuit assemblies requiring fine manual soldering and IPC standards compliance.
- Repair and refurbish electronic assemblies by replacing defective components.
- Conduct visual and microscope inspections to verify workmanship.
- Maintain accurate repair records, including repair details and components used.
- Perform other assembly-related duties as assigned.

Wire Harness Assembler

The Wire Harness Assembler is responsible for building and testing wire harnesses according to specifications while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Assemble wire harnesses by cutting, stripping, crimping, routing, and soldering wires according to drawings and work instructions.
- Install connectors, terminals, heat shrink, tubing, and protective coverings.
- Perform continuity testing and quality inspections on completed harnesses.
- Maintain neat and consistent wiring layouts and cable bundling.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and work orders.
- Assist with PLC panel assembly, wiring, and component mounting as required.




- Troubleshoot and correct minor assembly issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company quality and safety procedures.

Conformal Coating Inspector

The Conformal Coating Inspector ensures conformal coatings on PCBs meet quality requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct detailed inspections of coated PCBs according to work instructions and quality standards.
- Verify proper masking and protection of sensitive PCB areas.
- Use UV lights, microscopes, gauges, and other inspection equipment to evaluate coating coverage and thickness.
- Identify and document quality concerns and non-conformances.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, IPC, and customer quality requirements.
- Inspect equipment regularly to ensure accurate measurements.
- Maintain detailed quality records and inspection documentation.
- Work with quality and production teams to identify process improvements.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
- Support quality training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Previous electronics manufacturing experience preferred.
- Soldering experience and/or basic soldering training.
- Experience using Aegis or similar manufacturing software is an asset.
- IPC-A-610 knowledge or certification preferred.
- IPC J-STD-001 knowledge is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary Range
$17.60 - $23.00 per hour
