Position: Automated Truss Production Systems Operator
Pay: $25 - $27
Shift Details: Midnights, 11PM – 7AM Sunday – Thursday
Must Have’s:
Reliable transportation
Ability and desire to work midnight shift
Min. 2 Year of successful work experience operating automated manufacturing
equipment with an HMI interface
Job Description
We are currently
looking for Production Team Members to support our Automation Truss Plant
operations. Reporting to the Production Manager, our ideal candidate will be adaptable,
adaptable, detail-oriented and motivated, with a focus on providing a high degree of
external and internal customer service as we grow our team and business!
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Monitor the complete automated production line through operator control panels,
HMIs, computers, and production-management software.
- Start, stop, pause, and restart automated production systems in accordance with
established operating procedures.
- Monitor automated saws, lumber feeders, conveyors, scanners, optimization systems,
component handling equipment, and automated truss assembly equipment.
- Quality Control, confirm that the correct production job, truss design, cutting program,
and material specifications are loaded into the system before production begins.
- Monitor automated production in real time to ensure lumber and components are
moving correctly through the system.
- Respond promptly to machine alarms, fault messages,
sensor errors, material jams,
and other automated-system interruptions.
- Identify the source of production interruptions and perform authorized operator-level
troubleshooting and resets.
- Perform Operator level preventative maintenance, escalate mechanical, electrical,
software, or equipment faults to maintenance or management when they cannot be
safely corrected by the operator.
- Monitor system performance and production rates to identify recurring problems,
bottlenecks, or inefficiencies.
- Maintain continuous material flow through the production line while minimizing
unnecessary downtime.
Qualifications and Experiences:
- Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, woodworking, construction, or
production environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in automated machinery.
- Comfortable working with computers, touchscreen interfaces, HMIs, and automated
control systems.
- Ability to follow detailed operating procedures and technical instructions.
- Ability to read measurements and understand basic production drawings or diagrams.
- Strong attention to detail and quality awareness.
- Ability to recognize abnormal machine operation and respond appropriately.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with the production
team.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
