Event Staff (Comedy Festival) - Temporary

About Our Client

Our client has a super exciting event happening at Erindale Park from September 8th to September 14th. They require some strong, dedicated, hardworking event staff to ensure a timely set up and tear down of the event & make sure it goes off without a hitch! What You Will Be Doing, as Event Staff:

· Working as event set up, tear down & organizing of the event from September 8th to September 14th

· Set Up and Tear Down the event: Unloading trucks and flatbeds of equipment, moving gates, tents, tables, chairs, lighting on the stage and more.

· Work during the event: utilizing radios to communicate with the team, touring the mapped area to see which departments need help, moving tables and chairs, bringing supplies to departments/areas that need them, crowd control, ticket booth help and more.

· Complete additional tasks as assigned.

What You Should Have, as Event Staff:

· Must be able to lift up to 50lbs – anything more, would be with assistance

· This will be repetitive as you move tables and chairs and other large items, across a field

· Working outside in any weather

· This position is only from September 8th to September 14th, since it is an event. However, if you are a good performer, we will do our best to find you other work in your area.

· Ability to stand, bend, crouch, walk, all shift

· Must be able to pass a criminal background check

· Ability to communicate perfectly in English

· Great team work and multitasking skills

· CSA Safety Shoes/Boots





In Return You Will Receive:

· $20.00 per hour

· 4% vacation pay accrued and paid out when requested

· Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

The Shift You Will be Working is:

· Most are day shifts starting at 9am

· There are some afternoon shifts as well, on some days

· Shift preference will be taken into consideration, but you have to be flexible to accept the shift that is provided for your role.
