Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and engaging workplace for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, supporting diverse learning needs, and collaborating with parents and staff to ensure a positive educational experience. Bilingual skills in English and French are highly valued, along with experience working with children with disabilities or in special education settings.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement creative lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Support children's social and emotional development through positive interactions
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of children, including those with disabilities or special needs
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and developmental milestones
- Maintain accurate records of children's activities, progress, and assessments
- Collaborate with colleagues to organize classroom activities and school events
- Utilize computer skills for documentation, communication, and educational resources
- Manage classroom routines efficiently to promote a structured learning environment
- Demonstrate leadership in guiding children through learning experiences while managing classroom behavior
Skills
- Proficiency in English; bilingual skills in French are highly desirable
- Strong childcare experience with a focus on early childhood development
- Knowledge of special education practices and working with children with disabilities
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members
- Competence in computer operation for record keeping and educational activities
- Classroom experience demonstrating effective teaching methods and classroom management
- Exceptional organizational skills to plan lessons and manage time effectively
- Leadership qualities to guide children confidently while maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere
- Strong writing skills for documentation and parent communication
- Ability to work well with diverse populations and adapt to various learning needs
Pay: $17.50-$20.00 per hour
