Responsibilities

- Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and artistry
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene in all food preparation areas
- Source and select fresh ingredients to ensure quality and authenticity in every dish
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Educate guests about different types of sushi and ingredients when appropriate
- Assist in inventory management and proper storage of perishable items




- Follow all health regulations and company policies to uphold safety standards

Skills

- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar culinary role specializing in Japanese cuisine
- Robust knife skills and familiarity with sushi rolling techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, team-oriented attitude
- Experience working with children or teaching culinary techniques is a plus
- Background in cooking, classroom experience, or early childhood education related to food is advantageous
