Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automatic Door Technician to join our agile team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, experience working with low voltage control wiring, and the ability to work with various hand and power tools. This role is essential in ensuring the precise installation, efficient operation, and maintenance of automatic swing door systems, as well as troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Duties

- Install, configure, and commission automatic swing door systems, sensors, push plates, etc. in compliance with ANSI/BHMA standards.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand wiring and system configurations.
- Utilize hand tools effectively for assembly, maintenance, and repair tasks.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical hardware issues, ensuring optimal performance of door operators and access controls.
- Work with low voltage systems (e.g., activating devices, safety beams, and access control integrations),



adhering strictly to safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and inventory.

Experience

- Proven experience in automatic door installation, mechanical hardware repair, or a closely related field.
- Familiarity with schematics and technical drawings is required.
- Proficiency in using hand tools for various mechanical tasks.
- Familiarity with industry standards (such as ANSI A156.10 or A156.19 for pedestrian automatic doors) is an asset.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Knowledge of low voltage systems is advantageous.
