Financial Management Support - Contract - 19395
About the Opportunity
Our government client is looking to support the Financial Services team by undertaking a range of financial and accounting duties. The resource will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, processing transactions in compliance with the Financial Administration Act (FAA), and preparing various reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Support financial close processes, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and preparation of supporting documentation
Undertaking financial analyses of the institution’s input to such items as Multi-year Operational Plans, Main Estimates and Public Accounts
Coordinating the reconciliation of balances in reciprocal accounts in central and departmental systems
Supporting the Finance team with financial and administrative duties
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
2+ years of experience with Government Financials
English Essential, French is an asset
Eligible for a Reliability Clearance
About the Job
Duration: 6-month contract with a possibility of an extension
Salary Range: $40,000 to $60,000 a year
