Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Facilities Technician to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the functionality and safety of our facilities through various technical and maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Accountabilities:

- Ensure that all MEP plant and distribution infrastructure is operated and maintained in a secure manner, to best industry practice and within manufacturers recommendations.
- Monitor power and environmental conditions within all critical spaces within the facility.
- Perform assigned maintenance tasks in accordance with SF practices utilizing the internal CMMS.
- Assist with planning and scheduling corrective maintenance activities
- Escort and support outside contractors, ensuring they are abiding SF work rules and processes
- Respond to site incidents, execute appropriate MOP/EOP documentation to resolve and/or mitigate issues and communicate to manage throughout event.
- Support and follow all SF Change Control policies and procedures.
- Perform site rounds and report any issues found to site management.




- Participate in construction and commissioning activities as directed by site management
- Adhere to all local, state and federal safety laws and requirements
- Complete other duties as assigned by the management team
- Participate in and support MOP/SOP/EOP documentation process for site.
- Participate in and support the development of site policies and standards
- Work with site team members to deliver 100% uptime of critical infrastructure

Required skills:

- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in a Data Center with proven success in delivering customer requirements in a critical technology environment
- Evidence of self-management and alignment with ever-changing priorities
- Good written and oral communication skills, tenacity, and working to a high level of accuracy
- Operating and maintaining chilled water-cooling systems
- Operating and maintaining DX cooling systems
- Operating and maintaining backup electrical systems such as UPS and generators
- Operating Building Management systems and Fire alarm and detection systems
- Building facility maintenance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
