Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Steel Fabricator/Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Responsibilities

- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, welding schematics, and engineering drawings to guide fabrication and assembly processes.
- Lay out, measure, and mark reference points on structural steel and metal plates.
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding to create strong, precise joints on various metal components.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment safely and efficiently during fabrication tasks.
- Conduct rigging activities to lift, position, and secure heavy materials or assemblies using cranes or forklifts.
- Lay out, measure, and mark reference points on structural steel and metal plates making sure components are measured accurately with calipers, tape measures, and other precision tools; apply basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Assemble fabricated parts following schematics and technical instructions while ensuring quality standards are maintained.
- Fit, align, and tack-weld metal components together prior to final welding.




- Inspect finished work to ensure it meets strict quality and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to safety protocols; assist in the installation of ductwork or structural assemblies as needed.

Experience

- Strong ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proven experience in welding (MIG and TIG), steel fabrication, or manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of welding techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge including familiarity with rigging, crane operations, machining processes, and blueprint reading.
- Hands-on experience with plasma cutting, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and schematics interpretation.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of schematics, assembly procedures, and basic math skills necessary for precise fabrication work.
- Strong safety awareness with adherence to industry standards in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Pay: $22.00-$32.00 per hour
