About Monarch Media

Monarch Media is building a network of advertising displays inside high-traffic businesses throughout Edmonton.

We partner with restaurants, gyms, salons, barbershops, automotive businesses, retail stores, entertainment venues and other established local businesses to install and operate digital displays at their locations.

We're looking for confident, motivated Independent Sales Representatives to help us acquire new partner locations across Edmonton.

THE ROLE

Your job is straightforward:

Find qualified Edmonton businesses, speak with the owner or decision-maker, explain our location partnership program and secure their interest and preliminary agreement.

You can prospect however you work best, including:

- Visiting businesses in person
- Calling business owners
- Email and direct outreach
- Social media and messaging
- Referrals and your existing network
- Developing your own prospecting strategy

Once you've secured a qualified location and completed the preliminary agreement, our team takes over the final approval, installation, equipment and ongoing maintenance.

You are not responsible for installing or servicing equipment.

What Are You Offering the Business?

Monarch Media partners with established businesses that have consistent customer traffic.

For approved locations, Monarch Media:

- Supplies the digital display equipment
- Professionally installs the equipment
- Handles ongoing maintenance
- Provides the business with dedicated promotional space for its own offers and content




- Pays the business monthly compensation for participating in the network

There is no equipment purchase required from the participating business.

Partner locations generally enter into a minimum 12-month agreement.

Compensation

This is a commission-based independent contractor position. There is no hourly wage or base salary.

You earn a $250 base commission for every location you acquire that is approved by Monarch Media and successfully installed.

Additional performance bonuses are available based on the quality and economics of the partnership you negotiate.

A successfully negotiated location can therefore pay approximately $250–$500+ in total commission.

For example:

2 successful locations = $500+
5 successful locations = $1,250+
10 successful locations = $2,500+

Actual compensation depends entirely on successfully acquired and installed locations. There are no guaranteed earnings.

What Makes a Good Location?

We're primarily looking for established Edmonton businesses with significant and consistent customer traffic.

Our preferred locations generally have approximately 1,500+ customer visits per month, although locations with approximately 1,000+ monthly visitors may qualify when they have strong customer dwell time, visibility or other desirable characteristics.

Potential businesses include:

- Restaurants and cafés
- Pubs and entertainment venues
- Gyms and fitness centres




- Barbershops and salons
- Automotive and tire shops
- Retail businesses
- Grocery and specialty food stores
- Medical and professional waiting areas
- Other high-traffic local businesses

You'll be provided with our qualification criteria so you know which businesses to target.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for people who are:

- Comfortable approaching and speaking with business owners
- Confident communicating in person and over the phone
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Comfortable with performance-based compensation
- Professional and reliable
- Able to explain a simple business proposition clearly
- Comfortable negotiating

Previous sales, B2B, door-to-door, appointment-setting or business-development experience is an asset, but it is not required.

This may be particularly well suited to someone who already spends time visiting or communicating with local businesses.
