Steelworker / Welder

Koski Ironworks Ltd. is looking for a reliable and hardworking Steelworker / Welder (stick) to join our growing team.

We specialize in structural steel installation, fabrication, and welding for residential and light commercial projects throughout Barrie, Collingwood, Midland, Orillia, and surrounding areas.

We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working in the field, takes pride in their work, and wants the opportunity to grow with a smaller company.

Responsibilities

- Structural steel installation, including beams, columns, lintels, etc.
- Welding (stick) and fitting structural steel components
- Using grinders, drills, saws, impact tools, and other common power tools
- Rigging, positioning, and assisting with the erection of structural steel
- Working safely around cranes, lifts, and other equipment
- Loading and unloading steel and equipment
- Assisting with shop fabrication when required
- Maintaining a clean and protected work area

Qualifications

- Previous steelwork, structural steel, welding, or construction experience preferred
- Stick Welding experience is strongly preferred
- Ability to accurately use a tape measure and common power tools
- Comfortable performing physical work and working outdoors
- Comfortable working at heights




- Reliable transportation to job sites or designated meeting locations
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Ability to work well as part of a small crew
- Valid driver's licence preferred

CWB welding experience/tickets are an asset but NOT required.
