Summary

Magest Building Systems is hiring! We are seeking a Yard Laborer/General Labourer to join our team on our day shift.

Magest is locally owned and operated with strong ties to Stratford and surrounding communities.

Responsibilities

- General yard duties include but are not limited to, handling of materials, loading and unloading trucks, serving customers in the yard etc.
- Operate forklifts, telehandler, combilift and other equipment in a protected and conscientious manner.
- Cleaning of the yard
- Familiar with the use of various materials (wood, steel, plastic) to set up forms for concrete pour
- Tying reinforcing bars according to production drawing
- Experience with placing, vibrating and finishing concrete
- Assist in excavating and pouring of concrete bases
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements

- Work independently as well as in team environment with minimal to no supervision
- Must be able to lift 50+lbs
- Stand/walk for long periods of time
- Take direction and complete tasks as assigned in a timely manner
- Able to work outside in all conditions




- Must have a good attendance record and be passionate about working in a safe manner
- Available to work overtime as required

Experience Preferred

- Some heavy equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, telehandlers
- Concrete/Construction experience
- Previous experience/understanding of outdoor work
- Strong attendance record

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
