POSITION: Inclusion Support Teacher

APPOINTMENT: 1.0 FTE Temporary

DURATION: September 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027 or earlier return of incumbent

Qualifications Required:1.

Education degree plus a Master's degree, or an Inclusive Education certificate, or 5 upper-level courses (must include a Level B Assessment course);2. recent successful classroom teaching experience in adapting curriculum;3. ability to:

- lead in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Individual Education Plans, Learning Support Plans and Annual Instruction plans; - select and adapt curriculum, programs, and instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students including those with complex diverse abilities; - carry out a variety of assessments, including classroom observation, curriculum-based assessment and diagnostic teaching methods, and administration and interpretation of norm-referenced assessment instruments to Level B;- guide and support education assistant work under the direction of the school principal and provide leadership to the student support services department; - serve as school representatives when consulting with school district staff and community agencies;4. effective communication, interpersonal, organizational and classroom management skills;5. ability to integrate technologies and digital citizenship into educational programs; and6.



BC Qualified Teaching Certificate and current eligibility for Teacher Qualification Service card.
