ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill and Experience)

- -Current Certificate of Competence as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- -BScN preferred.
- -Current BCLS certification.
- -Minimum 3 years emergency & critical care experience.
- -Minimum 1 year paediatric experience preferred
- -Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale Education.
- -IV certification.
- -Certification in delegated medical acts and added nursing skills in Emergency/ICU desired
- -Cardiac module of Critical Care Course or equivalent required, within past five (5) years.
- -Certification in ACLS required.
- -Certification in PALS preferred.
- -Certification in TNCC (Trauma Nursing Care Course) preferred.
- -Health teaching skills that demonstrate a broad knowledge of Adult and Paediatric Care.
- -Demonstrated problem solving skills, communication skills and critical thinking skills.
