309A Licensed Electrician

Pay: $35.00–$38.00 per hour

Green Energy Supplies Inc. is hiring a 309A Licensed Electrician to join our growing electrical and energy solutions team.

We are looking for an experienced electrician who wants more than repetitive electrical work. This position offers exposure to a variety of residential and commercial projects involving electrical upgrades, solar, battery storage, EV charging, heat pumps, energy-efficient equipment, and modern electrification technologies.

Renewable energy experience is an asset, but it is not required. Training will be provided to the right candidate.

What You'll Be Doing

- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial electrical systems
- Complete electrical installations associated with solar energy systems, battery storage, EV chargers, heat pumps, HVAC equipment, and other energy-efficiency projects
- Perform panel replacements, panel upgrades, service upgrades, breakers, disconnects, wiring, conduit, and electrical modifications
- Install and connect electrical equipment in accordance with project specifications
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals
- Diagnose electrical problems and provide practical, code-compliant solutions
- Ensure electrical installations comply with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and applicable regulations
- Prepare completed work for ESA inspections and correct deficiencies when required
- Test electrical systems and equipment to confirm proper and safe operation
- Work collaboratively with apprentices, technicians, project coordinators, contractors, and other trades




- Identify material requirements and communicate site or installation issues promptly
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and project progress
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites
- Follow all company and workplace health and safety requirements

Required Qualifications
- Valid Ontario 309A Construction and Maintenance Electrician Licence
- Previous residential and/or commercial electrical experience
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience with electrical panels, service equipment, wiring, and distribution systems
- Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
- Valid Ontario driver's licence
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned work efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Professional communication skills
- Comfortable working on active construction sites and at heights when required

Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is considered an asset:
- Solar photovoltaic systems
- Battery energy storage systems
- EV charger installations
- Heat pumps and HVAC electrical
- Electrical service upgrades
- Generators
- Residential electrical renovations
- Commercial electrical systems
- Energy management equipment
- Renewable energy installations

No solar experience? That's okay.



If you're a strong 309A electrician with a solid electrical foundation and an interest in learning current technologies, training can be provided.

Compensation

$35.00–$38.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and technical capabilities.
