Welcome to the Nonsensical Society for Kids, here we want our members to be their full authentic selves, and to provide programming that supports exploration, self esteem & community building. We challenge kids to think outside the box, follow their creativity and get messy! Whether we are in the middle of a ravine with our socks wet, getting our hands stained from tie-dye, or sweating from an intense round of everybody’s it tag, we always give everything our all!

Our team believes in being role models who radiate positivity, have a passion for play and love to learn from the world around them.

Responsibilities

- To ensure safe pick up of After School Club members from school to NSK
- To assist in distribution of snack
- Provide support for members in ASP
- Help redirect behaviours, encourage emotional regulation
- To assist in planning and prepping activities for programming daily
- Support and participate in a variety of games and activities with members ranging from ages 3-6 or 6-12

- Work cooperatively with other staff to ensure members are secure, while maintaining health and hygiene measures.
- Understand and enforce all safety guidelines

Required Skills

- Enjoy working with children in a fun environment!
- Demonstrates communication, leadership, patience, and time management.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc. during 3 hour shift.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in camp,



youth programs, recreation, working with children or related field is considered an asset but not required.
- Criminal/background check.
- First Aid/CPR certificate.
