This is primarily a Veterinary assistant and Animal Care position, with assistance our Client Service Representatives.

As an Animal Care Attendant, you will work closely with our veterinarians and veterinary technicians and play an important role in providing excellent patient care and supporting the smooth operation of the hospital.

Your responsibilities will include

- Assisting veterinarians and veterinary technicians with appointments, procedures and patient care
- Safely handling and restraining dogs and cats
- Providing compassionate care and monitoring of hospitalized patients
- Preparing examination rooms for medical appointments
- Cleaning and maintaining treatment areas, kennels and equipment
- Preparing patients and equipment as directed by the veterinary team
- Helping maintain a clean, organized and welcoming hospital environment
- Assisting our Client Service Representatives with reception and client-service duties as needed
- Communicating professionally and compassionately with clients




- Supporting the team wherever needed to ensure our patients and clients receive an excellent experience

The successful candidate will:
- Have completed a 1-year Animal Care Attendant program (required)
- Have excellent customer service and communication skills
- Be genuinely comfortable working with people as well as animals
- Be compassionate, friendly and professional
- Be confident handling animals and willing to continue developing their animal-handling skills
- Be reliable, dependable and willing to pitch in wherever needed
- Be comfortable working in a busy environment and managing multiple priorities
- Be a solid team player who communicates well with others
- Be receptive to feedback and eager to learn
- Take pride in keeping their work environment clean, organized and safe
- Understand that excellent veterinary care includes excellent client care

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
