We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Appliance Technician to join our team as a contractor. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in appliance repair and customer service. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various household appliances to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. This is a unique opportunity to be dedicated to servicing only a few brands, which allows one to master the product and become extremely proficient and productive on it.
Duties
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with a variety of appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, dishwashers.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on appliances following manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
- Assemble and disassemble appliance components as needed for repairs or replacements.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand appliance functionality and identify problems.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs, maintenance options, and appliance usage.
- Maintain accurate electronic records of service calls, repairs performed, and parts used.
- Stay updated on the latest appliance technologies and repair techniques through continuous education.
Skills
- Strong electrical knowledge related to appliance operation and repair.
- Proficient in mechanical systems with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Experience with sealed systems is a must.
- Familiarity with appliance repair techniques and tools.
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively interact with clients.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for various appliances.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
