ReflecTech has served Edmonton for nearly 40 years installing window films that add comfort, privacy, security and branding to local homes and businesses in Edmonton. ReflecTech has a reputation of doing great installs in commercial and residential construction. About the Role
Tired of retail or being stuck behind a desk? Get out on the road, work with your hands, listen to your own playlists (one-ear bud only please), and manage your own job sites! In this role, you will gain hands-on experience working with great people.
You will report to the Director and Owner, Dale Plett.
This is an excellent opportunity for motivated, independent individuals eager to develop technical skills, learn industry best practices, and grow within a fast-paced environment. No prior experience is necessary—just a positive attitude, being good with customers, and a willingness to learn!
Key Responsibilities & Standards The following are the expected key roles and responsibilities. This job is not limited to the following and the manager you report to may at times request you to perform work which you are reasonably capable of outside the following roles and responsibilities. The hours of work is Monday (8am-5pm) and Tuesday to Friday (8:30 am to 5 pm). You may be asked to work outside of those hours to facilitate a client or work schedule (with notice).
Installer Daily Process & Preparation
- Planning Ahead: Prepare for the week ahead by reviewing projects, stock, and tools to ensure you are fully equipped and capable for the work.
- Daily Prep: Read project notes,
pre-cut materials when possible, and ensure all tools, materials, ladders, and scaffolding are loaded before heading out.
- Stewardship: Treat company tools, vehicles, and client properties with the utmost care and respect. Take cleanliness and organization seriously.
- Safety First: Prioritize safety on all job sites, work safely at heights on ladders, scaffolding, and man-lift machines, and actively discuss near-misses to find simpler, better ways to work.
- Team & Culture: Know and practice our core values. Attend mandatory weekly Toolbox and 1-1 meetings, and promptly take care of your weekly tasks.
Install Performance & Execution
- Quality Workmanship: Deliver excellent residential and commercial installations (tint, frost, and vinyl) by applying the product knowledge and hands-on skills developed during your training.
- Timely Delivery: Arrive on time and complete all installations within the scheduled window.
- Administration: Promptly invoice projects using the company app and accurately log your inventory use at the end of each day.
Customer Relations & Innovation
- Exceptional Client Care: Call ahead to clients for peace of mind, communicate with care and education on-site, and listen attentively to concerns. Always perform a final walk-through.

- Continuous Improvement: Adopt industry best practices, learn new technical skills, and complete your "Quarterly Rock" goals in weekly stages.
What to Expect When Starting
- Week 1 - Mastering a New Skill: Get introduced to the team and learn from the best with hands-on product knowledge. By the end of the week, you'll know how to install residential and commercial tint, frost, and security film.
- Week 2 - Out in the Field: Practice what you've learned at real customer sites. Our Operations Manager will show you how to navigate your day until you are confident about taking on solo projects and eventually leading a crew.
- Week 3 & Beyond: Look ahead at your day using our app, pre-cut films, drive to projects on time, communicate with clients, complete high-quality workmanship, invoice via the app, provide client care packages, and rack up Google Reviews for your bonuses!
Requirements
- Driver's License and vehicle to get to job-sites
- Physical ability to perform work safely at heights and perform heavy lifting.
- Ability to effectively use hand tools such as knives, screwdrivers, cutters, measuring tapes, and caulking guns.
- Basic familiarity with construction (training will be provided).
- Prior experience with construction or handyman tasks is advantageous.
- A positive attitude, good customer service skills, and a strong willingness to learn current skills.
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Licence/Certification
- Class 5 Licence (required)
