Here’s a little about us (buckle-up, it’s about to get weird).

I’m Adam, the owner of Guardian Automotive in West Edmonton. I’m going to go massively off-script from the normal bullet point ad that is oh-so-boring but yet strangely so popular. If our ads seem a bit quirky, or let’s be real, a lot quirky compared to the cookie-cutter templates out there, you’re not wrong. We’re different, and we like it that way. Effort goes into these bad-boys. slaps top of laptop (Yes, memes are a primary form of communication around here.)

Guardian Automotive opened in 2019, got hit hard in 2020, and was too stubborn to quit. We pushed through the rough start, found our footing, and have kept building momentum since. That grit still shows up in how we work and how we treat each other.

Now we’re growing again. This expansion takes us to 16,000 sq ft and 14 hoists total, with a shop built to support techs and keep work flowing. We’re looking for a few good technicians to join the team and keep building what this organization is known for. When this expansion is complete, Guardian Automotive will be among the largest independent repair facilities in Edmonton, and we’re pretty proud of that.

Growth and resilience are in our DNA. If we were afraid to analyze, evolve, and improve, we wouldn’t have grown the way we have since 2020, with even more on the horizon. We’ve gone from about 500 vehicles serviced annually to over 6,000, and we’re not slowing down.

Your Role as an Automotive Service Technician:

- Diagnose, repair, and maintain domestic and Asian brand vehicles with precision and efficiency. As a technician, you’re considered the expert of your field. Every repair needs to leave with pride, quality, and confidence.
- Collaborate with a team of top-notch professionals to deliver consistent, high-quality service. We’ve set up a solid support network so you have answers to questions, a direct solution for any part hiccup, and some pretty top-notch folks to close those deals to keep you busy.
- Stay ahead of the curve with access to near-new hoists, an always evolving tool crib, multiple scantools, technology, and training and coaching.
- Contribute to our customer-first culture by keeping communication clear and honest.
- Continue to grow your experience and skillset internally with us, through workshops, and through our coaching programs.

What We’re Looking For:

- Experience Required: You’ve got solid automotive repair experience and know your way around domestic and Asian vehicles. Red Seal/Journey Required. Will consider a 4th year apprentice.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfort with modern diagnostic tools and techniques. We pride ourselves on being a tech forward company. Digital vehicle inspections, utilizing scan tool PID data, and self-sourcing processes and procedures from resources like ProDemand, AllData and other tools are the norm. We work closely with Tekmetric, AllData, ProDemand, and other tools to keep communication, documentation, and organization tight.
- Team Player: We thrive on collaboration and mutual support. No drama, no backstabbing. Sounds nice, doesn’t it?
- Quality Mindset: We take comebacks seriously. We move with urgency, but we do it right, and we leave the next person set up for success.
