Duties

- Assist with food preparation by following safety and sanitation standards to ensure quality and freshness of menu items
- Operate the Micros POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for order processing and cash handling
- Manage cashier responsibilities including processing payments, giving accurate change, and balancing cash drawers at shift end
- Provide friendly customer service by greeting guests, answering questions about menu items, and upselling specials or combo deals
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen workstations, utensils, and dining areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and ensuring proper storage of ingredients




- Support kitchen staff during busy periods by restocking supplies and assisting with basic food prep tasks

Skills

- Proven experience in food preparation and food service environments, ideally within a restaurant or fast-food setting
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for quick and accurate transactions
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling, giving correct change, and balancing registers
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and cleanliness
- Experience in upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
