Paisley Coffeehouse & Eatery is a vibrant community hub in the heart of Westdale. We take pride in serving exceptional specialty coffee, house-made baked goods, and a fresh, scratch-made food menu in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Full-Time Baker to join our tight-knit kitchen team and help us start every morning off right.

The Role

As our morning baker, you are the heartbeat of the early shift. Arriving at 5:00 AM, you will be responsible for baking off our daily pastry rotation, preparing fresh ingredients for our daytime line, and ensuring the kitchen remains clean and organized. This is a dynamic role that combines independent baking focus with collaborative kitchen teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

- Daily Baking (5:00 AM Start): Prepare and bake off daily scratch pastries, muffins, scones, cookies, and seasonal features to ensure shelves are fully stocked for opening.
- Line Prep: Transition from baking into general kitchen prep—chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and setting up the line for the breakfast and lunch rush.
- Dishwashing & Station Cleanliness: Maintain a clean work environment throughout the shift, wash mixing bowls, utensils, and pans, and assist with final kitchen dish breakdown and sanitizing.
- Inventory & Quality Control: Monitor ingredient freshness, track stock levels,



and ensure consistency in recipe execution and presentation.

What We Are Looking For
- Early Birds Only: Proven reliability and punctuality for a strict 5:00 AM start time.
- Experience: 2-3 years of professional baking or kitchen prep experience
- Stamina & Speed: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 40 lbs (flour bags, large mixing bowls).
- Team Players: A positive attitude and willingness to jump in where needed—whether that's tackling a stack of dishes or prepping extra ingredients for the line.
- Food Safety: Current Food Handler Certification is an asset.
