CAREGiver – Golf Companion Opportunity

Home Instead is looking for a caring, reliable, and golf-loving CAREGiver to support a client who enjoys spending time on the golf course.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys both caregiving and golf. The successful candidate will accompany the client to golf outings, provide companionship and support, and assist with their care needs as required.

The Opportunity The CAREGiver will:

- Accompany the client to golf outings and other activities
- Drive the client in their personal vehicle
- Provide companionship and encouragement throughout the outing
- Assist with personal care and Activities of Daily Living as required
- Assist with mobility and transfers as needed
- Ensure the client's safety and comfort
- Communicate with the Home Instead office regarding the client's care and any changes or concerns
- Maintain professional boundaries and follow all Home Instead policies and procedures

Transportation Requirement – MUST HAVE Because this position requires transporting the client, the successful candidate must:

- Have a valid driver's licence
- Have access to a reliable personal vehicle
- Have a clean/acceptable driving record
- Have valid auto insurance
- Be able to obtain and maintain 6A Class auto insurance for business use that permits them to transport the client
- Provide proof of the required insurance before transporting the client
- Be comfortable driving the client to and from golf courses and other outings

Please note: Having a personal vehicle and standard personal auto insurance alone is not sufficient for this position.



The successful candidate must be able to obtain the appropriate 6A/business-use insurance required to drive the client. Qualifications & Requirements

- Experience with Alzheimer's, and Dementia is an asset
- Must be comfortable assisting with Activities of Daily Living, including toileting, bathing, dressing, feeding, and ambulation
- Must be comfortable working with other Home Instead CAREGivers when required
- Must have a valid Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
- Must have a TB test
- Must have First Aid & CPR certification
- Must be able to provide availability that allows for an ongoing commitment
- Must be dependable, compassionate, professional, and a strong team player
- Must genuinely enjoy golf and be comfortable spending time on the golf course
