Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, providing excellent customer service at all times
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process cash, credit, and digital payments while handling cash responsibly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of checkout areas, ensuring products are well-stocked and visually appealing
- Conduct product demos when necessary to promote new or featured items, upselling where appropriate to enhance sales opportunities
- Manage merchandise merchandising tasks such as restocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
- Provide accurate information about store products and services, including special offers and promotions
- Uphold safety standards by following proper cash handling procedures and adhering to store policies
Requirements
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; experience with POS systems is a plus
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are an asset for serving diverse customers
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional phone etiquette
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions efficiently
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks in a busy environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves or moving merchandise
- A proactive approach to upselling products and enhancing the customer shopping experience
