Empower seniors through recreation at The Salvation Army as a Casual Recreation Assistant. Work under the guidance of the Recreation Therapy Manager to deliver engaging programs. This position offers the chance to join The Salvation Army’s interdisciplinary care team as a Recreation Assistant.

Your focus will be on assisting in the development and facilitation of recreation therapy services that foster social interaction and mental well-being. Adapting programs to suit various needs is key to ensuring residents receive attentive care and support. Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in creating and running recreational programs
- Document and analyze monthly program statistics
- Foster relationships with residents, families, and staff
- Maintain a safe environment for recreational activities
- Contribute insights on resident therapy needs Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in Recreation Therapy or relevant experience
- Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification
- Pass a Transparent Criminal Record Check
- Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract
