Job Summary: We are currently seeking a Certified Dental Assistant to join our team. This position is available for either part-time or full-time employment, with no weekend shifts required. While experience with Power Practice is preferred, we are willing to provide training to the right candidate. Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring they are clean, well-stocked, and organized.
- Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment.
- Take dental X-rays as required.
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist, anticipating their needs and ensuring patient comfort.
- Educate patients on post-operative care instructions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
- Manage inventory and order dental supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with the dental team to deliver high-quality, patient-focused care.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Dental Assistant from an accredited program.
- Current registration with the Dental Assisting Regulatory Authority in the province of British Columbia.
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
- Proficiency in taking dental X-rays.
- Experience with Power Practice is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
