We are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our team as a Chair in Community Nursing/Public Health. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to research, innovation and teaching and provide key leadership within the University and its partners, within a dynamic and inclusive environment.

You will contribute to research, innovation and teaching across the organisation and provide key methodological leadership within the University. We are particularly seeking candidates who can demonstrate a strong research profile in community nursing and/or public health, in a relevant practice setting. Demonstrable impacts across digital healthcare, healthy aging, mental health, social research, long-term conditions or applied research methodologies, are particularly welcomed.

You will be responsible for:

- Leading and contributing to the development of high-importance or interdisciplinary community nursing/public health research to achieve tangible benefits and impact for the School of Health Sciences
- Leading and sustaining research grant income and conduct research of national and international excellence funded by relevant external agencies
- Producing and disseminating high-quality, high-impact research outputs of national and international standing
- Providing cross-divisional PGR supervision and mentorship
- Providing academic leadership in your field, including the development, mentoring and career management of early and mid-career researchers, qualified and research active colleagues

About You

We encourage applications from individuals with a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. You should demonstrate:

Essential Criteria

- A PhD in a relevant area
- Knowledge of community health nursing and/or public health nursing,



research priorities and policy agendas
- A sustained record of success in obtaining research funding and delivering large-scale programmes and projects
- Evidence of leadership of research collaborations with national/international partners to advance global health or methodologies in the field
- A sustained record of successful doctoral supervision and assessments and PGR/PGT examinations

Desirable Criteria

- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or relevant professional organisation
- Specialist Qualifications in Community Nursing/Public Health Nursing
