Overview

We are seeking a skilled and responsible Class 1 Driver to join our team. This role involves operating Bed trucks and Winch tractors to transport our fleet of rental equipment and matting efficiently and safely across various routes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of heavy trucks, winching, equipment operation, on and off highway driving ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining safety standards.

This position offers an excellent chance for individuals with a passion for driving and logistics to contribute to a dynamic organization. Wage is negotiable depending on experience.

Duties

- Safely operate Class 1 bed and winch tractors pulling pups, highboys, lowbeds and B-trains.
- Transport freight efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure operational safety and compliance.
- Load and unload matting, bins, tanks and other equipment as necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement.
- Maintain accurate documentation and logs in accordance with company policies.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when required to ensure vehicle readiness.




- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit.
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling.

Qualifications

- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating loaders and excavators is preferred
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations related to commercial driving.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and vehicle inspections.
- Physical ability to load/unload freight, operate heavy equipment, and perform vehicle inspections as needed.
- Prior winch experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training can be provided for qualified candidates.
- Commitment to safety, reliability, and punctuality in all aspects of the role.

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
