Are you dependable, detail-oriented, and proud of creating clean and welcoming spaces? The Avenir Centre is looking for Casual Part-Time Cleaning Staff to help keep our venue event-ready and provide a positive experience for every guest.

From concerts and sporting events to community gatherings and special events, our Cleaning Staff play an important role in everything that happens at the Avenir Centre.

About the Avenir Centre

Located in the heart of downtown Moncton, the Avenir Centre is a premier sports and entertainment venue that brings the community together through exciting live events, exceptional hospitality, and memorable guest experiences.

What You’ll Do

- Clean and maintain concourses, seating areas, washrooms, offices, dressing rooms, suites, lounges, and other assigned spaces.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, and clean floors and other surfaces.
- Clean and disinfect washrooms, fixtures, counters, and high-touch areas.
- Empty garbage and recycling containers and replace liners.
- Restock washroom and cleaning supplies.
- Respond promptly to spills and cleaning requests during events.
- Complete pre-event, event-time, and post-event cleaning assignments.
- Safely use cleaning products, tools, and equipment.
- Identify and report safety hazards, damaged equipment, maintenance concerns, and supply shortages.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and storage areas in a clean and organized condition.
- Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with guests and coworkers.
- Work collaboratively with the Operations team to ensure the venue is ready for every event.

What You Bring

- A dependable and punctual team member.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned duties with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.




- Effective communication skills.
- Previous commercial, venue, hotel, or institutional cleaning experience is an asset but not required.
- Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and WHMIS is an asset.
- Ability to communicate in English or French; bilingualism is an asset.

Availability

- Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule based on events and operational requirements, including:
- Days, evenings, and overnight shifts.

Hours are not guaranteed and will vary depending on the Avenir Centre’s event schedule and operational needs.
- Weekends and statutory holidays.
- Shifts before, during, and after concerts, sporting events, and other venue activities.
- Varying start and finish times.

Physical Requirements

- Candidates must be able to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently bend, reach, kneel, crouch, and climb stairs.
- Perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Lift, carry, push, or pull cleaning supplies, waste containers, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Work around cleaning products, dust, noise, crowds, and changing temperatures.
- Work safely in busy public and operational areas.
