The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Clinical Trial CSR AI Training Writer to support workflows involving synthetic clinical trial data and Clinical Study Report authorship. You will combine advanced medical writing expertise with structured evaluation judgment to produce source materials, golden outputs, prompts, and rubrics for AI training.

The work is designed for an experienced clinical writer who can manage detailed, full-document assignments and maintain consistency throughout long-horizon clinical reporting workflows.

- Pay: $90-$150 per hour

What You’ll Do

You will create and assess the materials used to train and measure an AI agent’s ability to perform comparable clinical reporting work. The role combines document authorship, synthetic data generation, and detailed quality evaluation.
- Generate and validate high-quality synthetic clinical trial data for AI training
- Author complete sections of Clinical Study Reports based on pre-market clinical trial work
- Design prompts representing realistic clinical writing tasks and expected outputs
- Create golden outputs that provide reliable quality references for AI-generated work
- Develop rubrics measuring the accuracy, completeness, and quality of clinical reporting
- Apply consistent judgment across long-horizon, full-document authorship workflows
- Maintain accuracy and completeness across long-form clinical documentation

Requirements

This role requires advanced medical writing expertise and direct experience with pre-market Phase 1-3 clinical trial data. You should be able to author complete Clinical Study Report sections and evaluate clinical writing using precise, defensible criteria.

The listing is marked entry level in the source requirements, but the role itself requires substantial professional experience and advanced qualifications.

- At least five years of relevant professional experience




- Ten to twenty-five years of experience preferred
- Direct experience working with pre-market Phase 1-3 clinical trial data
- Demonstrated experience authoring clinical trial reports and complete CSR sections
- PhD or equivalent advanced qualification
- Ability to evaluate clinical writing quality
- Ability to turn expert judgment into prompts, golden outputs, and rubrics
- Solid attention to clinical accuracy, document completeness, and evaluation criteria

Schedule, Location, and Pay

This is a remote contract opportunity for candidates located in the United States or Canada. At least 20-25 hours of availability per week is required, while 30 or more hours is preferred. The default commitment is 40 hours per week.
