Construction Helper - Tiling Trainee

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking construction helper who wants to learn professional tile installation and grow with our residential renovation team. No previous tiling experience is required. Hands-on training will be provided to the right candidate.

What You Will Learn

- Floor and wall preparation for tile installation
- Measuring, layout and tile cutting
- Mixing and applying mortar and grout
- Installing ceramic and porcelain tile
- Finishing, cleaning and quality-control procedures

Responsibilities
- Assist experienced installers and other renovation trades on active job sites
- Prepare floors and walls, remove existing finishes and complete light demolition
- Load, unload and organize tools, tiles and construction materials
- Mix materials and cut or place tiles under supervision
- Keep work areas clean, safe and organized
- Follow instructions and all company health and safety requirements




- Travel from Brampton to residential job sites across the GTA
- Be available for full time work and occasional weekends

Requirements
- No tiling experience required; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential
- Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions
- Comfortable performing physical construction work and lifting materials
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to reliably report to Brampton for work
- A valid Ontario G licence and renovation experience are assets, but not required

Job Type: Full-time, permanent Expected hours: 40-50 per week

Pay: $18-$22 per hour, based on experience and ability

Work location: Brampton and residential job sites across the GTA

Training: Hands-on tiling training provided

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
