My manufacturing client located approximately 30mins north of Waterloo, ON is seeking a very detail-oriented Controller. This is a crucial role for someone ready to ensure accurate financial management and contribute to a company undergoing exciting transitions. This role offers the chance to work closely with the CEO where you'll be instrumental in streamlining processes and establishing financial stability during a period of growth and adjustment.

Responsibilities

- Manage all aspects of day-to-day financial operations, including AP, AR and general accounting tasks.
- Process payroll for approximately 60 employees bi-weekly.
- Prepare and report on monthly and quarterly financial performance.
- Ensure accuracy of all financial numbers and resolve discrepancies.




- Comprehend and manage job costing and project-based accounting across different business divisions (office, shop, road).
- Utilize Sage accounting software for all financial processes.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in a hands-on controller role for a similar size organization.
- Accuracy with numbers is paramount.
- Experience with job costing/project-based accounting is highly preferred.
- Ability to comprehend business aspects.
- Proficiency with Sage is an asset.
