About Us:

The Granite Curling Club, a lively and welcoming community destination, is looking for reliable Line Cooks to join our kitchen team for the upcoming curling season. We have both full-time and part-time positions running from October through April, supporting a busy calendar of league games, bonspiels, banquets, and events. We are looking for team players with strong kitchen experience, great speed, and a passion for good food

Responsibilities:

- Execute the Menu: Prepare, cook, and present a variety of high-quality menu items, from classic pub-style comfort food to daily specials and event catering plates.
- Station Setup & Prep: Manage prep work, portioning, and station organization to ensure the line is fully stocked before service rushes begin.
- Speed & Consistency: Maintain high food quality, precise presentation, and quick ticket times during busy league nights and weekend tournaments.
- Kitchen Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain excellent cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with all food service and sanitation regulations.
- Team Collaboration:



Work closely with the Head Chef and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth, efficient service.
- Closing Duties: Clean and break down workstations at the end of shifts, ensuring proper food storage, labeling, and kitchen organization.

Qualifications:

- 2+ years of experience working as a line cook, short-order cook, or prep cook in a commercial kitchen.
- Culinary training or equivalent fast-paced, on-the-job kitchen experience.
- Strong time management skills, reliability, and clear communication under pressure.
- Availability for flexible shifts, including afternoon, evening, and weekend time slots aligned with league schedules.
- Team player with ability to take feedback and learn.
